Just wondered how essential you think it is to fix this crack before boarding and skimming. There doesn’t seem to be any movement or issue with it but I’d rather have piece of mind that it won’t mind before it’s boarded and skimmed.

If you think it’s worth fixing, what would you do to fix it?

Thanks

I doubt if there is anything that can be done to fix an old crack like that.

If its just shrinkage cracking that occurred after drying, its not going to move again. If its caused by foundation movement (which it doesnt look like), then nothing you do will stop it re occurring.

Id just fix the new plasterboard so it spans the crack.
