Hi all

We had some peeling paint in our bathroom after for some reason our mist coat in a certain part of the room didn’t seem to absorb into the plaster; we got down what was lose and sanded down, we then this time used fresh plaster paint in the affected areas and repainted, I was hoping after a few layers it would be less noticeable between the area we had to scrape down and the area which was fine but as you can see in the picture, it’s still very obvious, does anyone have the solution of what we need to do to achieve the perfect finish?

I'm sure someone will come along with a good answer eventually, but possibly filler over the join, then sanded with an electric sander or sanding block may help.

Diluted emulsion may help on the bare filler in case of more problems.
