I want to fit a large set of heavy glass doors in an opening 3.8m wide x 2.7m high. I may also have a roller door installed in the aperture, in front of the glass doors for security reasons. I am wondering though if this would then make getting a good fixing for the door frame very difficult. I would have to remove the casing of the roller shutter's box in order to frame something that attached to the building's structure... Alternatively I could put the roller shutter box on the outside of the opening and then I would have easy access to attach the door frame to the building's structure. However, in this case there are two steel I beams at the top of the opening, what is the advice for attaching a frame to these? Can a frame simply be bolted to the beams?
