Hi there.
I am installing some led tape and want the aluminium channel recessed into the ceiling. I don't want to drill and screw the channel (it creates an unwanted bulge where the tape runs over the screw) so I am wondering what glue/double-sided-tape might be up to the job and whether I need to use a primer on the exposed gypsum first. I have tried regular trade grab adhesive and double-sided tape (on bare gypsum) - neither of which worked. Beofre I go and buy many products to experiment with, I was hoping someone may have a ready-made solution? I am also thinking CT1?
Recess is 10mm wide and 5mm deep.
Thanks

Thanks foxhole - but the channel is too thin to get a decent countersink.

The other issue I have with screws, is having to have something substantial above the plasterboard to screw into. There won't always be a joist.

Don't you think ceiling will look strange with track stuck in it? I did not use a track but stuck it to the rear of coving and dropped coving 30mm off the ceiling IMG_5183.jpg
