I need to fix a safe to a brick wall unfortunately the holes in the rear of the safe are lining up with the mortar joints in the brickwork is there any way to make a secure fixing into the mortar using expansion bolts etc

If the mortar is good and strong then it may work.

Alternatively, you may need to fix something to the wall then fix the safe to that something.

if the mortar is crumbly, the fixing will not be very strong, and expanding metal fixings may crumble it. I am guessing that you are trying to put the safe on the floor. Block it up with a piece of wood or a paving slab so that the holes are near the middle of bricks.
