Fixing timber to top of steel beam

I need to buy a 150mm x 89 UB, the SE says to use m12 coach bolts at 600 centres to fix timber into the web.

What size holes should I get drilled along the top flange to fix the top timber and at what spacings?

Using M12 bolts you'd want 14 mm dia holes. The hole spacing would be 600 mm.
