Averaged out that equates to something in the middle

As I have been banned from the flags thread I will have to mention it here. Out and about today in my local towns I saw flags really high -- too high for a ladder so it must of been a cherry picker that went down the road and put up about 30 union jacks -- it looked like the mall and beautiful.

As I have been banned from the flags thread I will have to mention it here. Out and about today in my local towns I saw flags really high -- too high for a ladder so it must of been a cherry picker that went down the road and put up about 30 union jacks -- it looked like the mall and beautiful.

We got told to take them down the other day, we were surrounded by swarms of angry people, so we shifted them higher and was heros rather than getting lynched. We told our gaffers we are not willing to remove them as we are not paid to be attacked, they now have the policy of leave them.

Is it to signify support for traditional English values such as setting fire to buildings with people inside them, or attacking the police?

If you don't see how a movement with disgusting, hate-filled, violent, ideologies has hijacked "flying the flag", then either you are incredibly naïve or you share those ideologies to such an extent that you see nothing wrong with them.

No it is simples actually, those people are morons where as Harry for example has a flag up on his property hes causing no trouble just being a proud Brit.....if we cant be proud of being British then something is wrong.

So is it really naïvety? Can you really not see how the right-wing, racist, thugs have hijacked the Union Jack, and the flag of St. George, to signify their belief in a vile ideology which does not represent British values in the slightest?

It doesn't matter how much you wish it wasn't so, how fervently you say "I ought to be able to..", the fact is it is so, and if you do you will inevitably risk being identified as a right-wing, racist, thug. That's just the way it is.

And I've seen the sorts of things Harry says in GD, and if that's what being a "proud Brit" means then I want no part of it, for it is shameful, and nothing which anybody should be "proud" of at all.
