Flat roof water drips onto facia board not guttering

Hi all,


Recently purchased my house and with the recent rain i have noticed that the rain running off the flat roof at times drips onto the facia board and not down into the guttering.

The rain seems to go down "the drip edge" and then on to the facia board and not into the guttering. If there a way to add a "drip trim" to force the water away from the edge and into the guttering?

Apologies in advance for not using the correct terminology and i hope i have explained myself.

There is no drip fitted to that roof. It's an amateurish bodge job.

Felt support tray cut down and slid under the edge of the roof.

I find it amazing how many times so called tradesmen can't do the basics.

Thank you - it looks like the "wrong" end, becuase it is the longest straightest part would be better. I assume i can just affix it to the facia board?

If only it were that simple.

The drip edge should have been sorted at construction and taken into account as the ply sheeting was laid and prior to the roof covering - whether that be GRP, three ply felt or rubber - and that roof covering should continue over the drip.
