I bought 2 cheap stainless steel taps off ebay for my boat and am looking to buy flexible tails. As it is not indicated on the box or in the ebay listing I am unsure what threads they are. The bore is about 16.5mm and the maximum diameter of the threads is a little under 20mm. I have looked up the spec for 1/2" bsp and understand the OD of the threads should be 20.9 mm.

I guess I have bought taps with an odd thread?

Are tails available for these taps?.

Additionally I will be fitting them to 15mm plastic pipe, what fitting do I need?

Advice most welcome

Thanks

Mike

Can you post a photo of the tap and or underneath where connections are made?

Yes I probably can but will sort this today at Screwfix/builders merchant. I did see a video on youtube warning of purchasing cheap taps off ebay having non standard threads after I had bought them. Hoping they are are 1/2" bsp and I will use JG speedfit tails.

Will let you know how I get on.

Thanks

Mike
