Hi chaps!

Last week I replaced a float valve in a CWS vessel which was passing.

The CWS vessel is located in a bedroom cupboard and the customer is complaining because she can hear it dripping for a couple of hours after she goes to bed.

I popped in to have a look today and it does drip unless you lift the float quite firmly.

Are there any float valves available that are a bit more “on and off” rather than the gradual slowing down and drilling of a conventional float valve?

Is it a bad idea to fit a side entry fill valve like you would in a toilet for instance?

There's an "AIR" variant of the Viva Skylo side entry float valve. It's a few quid more than the ones you get from Screwstation but it has an AG air gap built in. So I assume it's water regs compliant.
