hi

im in the planning stage of installing a floating engineered wood floor in my lounge. the floor is level, but covered in a thin layer of bitumen. Will i need to have a DPM or can i get away with just a standard underlay?

thanks

I guess you have a concrete floor covered with bitumen?
If so, yes use DPM (try combi-product that has both DPM and sound-insulation)

yes its a concrete floor with thin bitumen layer - thanks for the advice ill use combi underlay when i start the project :)
