Hi,
I live in a very cold house, where the downstairs is colder than the upstairs. obviously heat rises so the bedrooms get two lots of heating. Cavity insulation hasn't made much difference. I am redecorating the main bedroom which covers half the living room and am thinking about underlay for the new carpet. I got to thinking why do we fuss over insulating the loft but not between the two livable floors.
I feel I want to replicate the loft insulation in this bedroom while I have the carpet up but wonder if there is a reason why it isn't normally done. Having googled around there is something about issues with wiring, but there are wires in the loft too.
So what can I do to stop at least some of the heat from my living room rising to the bedroom?
Thanks
