Floor/wall join.

Hi guys.
I've tiled the bathroom floor black. ( Jeez its tricky,I don't know how you lads do it) Going to do the walls white. Any suggestions on what I should do where the floor meets the wall tiles... gaps/grout/ silicone etc.
Also..I'm going to put chrome trim round the window. Do I need a cove box or something to get the mitres right.... It's not easy, can't seem to get it right.

I usually put a run of cut floor tiles to make a skirting around the room about 100/150mm tall which then leaves a nice clean edge to finish the wall tiles off against.
