Hi all. I've just bought a load of pine slivers from the Old Pine Company to fill my floorboard gaps. Quick question: some people tell you to clean between the floorboards first. Unfortunately they don't say how, or with what. Is it just a case of dislodging any loose particles and giving it a good hoover? Or should I be doing something with sandpaper, to give the glue a good bonding surface? The floorboards must be about 150 years old so I reckon they're pretty dirty by now. What have other people done?
