Replacing old strip light in kitchen for my father what is white cable
As image red to red
Blue to black
White to green/yellow

red white and blue were the old old phase colours, it changed to red yellow blue in the early seventies, then brown black grey in 2005
The white is being used as an earth as generally, cables at that time didn't have one so electricians, normally commercial ones, used 3 core cable the same as twin and earth.
