Hi Good morning .
Quick question.
Im replacing an old 6ft flourescent strip light in my utility room ,with same or similar type .
Looking at the screw*** catologue i see some are switch start circuit and a others are described as High Frequency .High frequency one being about 30 per cent dearer .
Can some one please give me some idea about the difference between the switch circuit one and the high frequency one .
Many Thanks .
Thought I would ask the question before making any mistakes on purchase .

Thanks ban-all-sheds.

So am i right in saying HF are flicker free basically as well as more efficient/economical .?

We only go into utility now and then for washer/dryer etc so i may as well go for the cheaper option,as it is not on much at all .

Thanks Again .
Regards
Rob.

We have two switch start fittings in the shed. They use the roof as a sounding board, and they flicker slightly for about 20 minutes when its cold.

When they vibrate (all the time) the whole roof vibrates with them.
