Morning people.

We are having someone round to install a new gas fire, but they have asked us in advance about our flue.

We have a block in our living room which protrudes out about 6"

In the loft the flue pipe is metal and cylindrical

On the roof we dont have a stack, but just like a tile with openings on either side

Having looked on the net we should have either a pre-cast or a pre-fab flue. We appear to have a combination of the two

House was built c.1971

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section, ive also posted in the building section

Regards

K

am hoping cylindrical flue in loft is not "flexible concertina type" (flue liner) but is a rigid pipe type (twin wall) and is adequately supported etc.
Your RGI should check flue in loft assiduously if precast
