Flueless or not? that is the question!

I'd go with tamz regarding the use of an electric fire.
Not sure why you don't rate them. They have a much greater sensible heat output as compared to the efficiency of an ILFE gas equivalent. Plus with the added advantage of no draught and flexibility regarding positioning.
