fluorescent light removal

i have come across this problem before, the light fitting will most probably have had the feed cables extended in single core cable of whatever the installer had. If you look closeley at where the cables come from then i bet you will find a connector block in the ceiling with the live neutral and earth in that you need for your new light . I hope. ANy more problems feel free to ask

Very often see it - the twisted white flex of old pendent drops used to feed fancy fittings etc.

Quite often see a ceiling rose covered by one of the plaster roses, with just a twisted flex coming through!! "Can you put my new light up there please"

I reckon there may be a ceiling rose 'lost' into the ceiling.
