Does such a beast exist?

I have a few external sockets to wire on a posh house, and the customer would prefer flush sockets if they are available.

I can't remember having ever seen them, but said I would look into it for him.

Like you I've never seen them.

Is it for aesthetic or practical reasons (like not protuding) the customer wants flush mount?

Are they for permanent use or portable stuff if latter could they be located in a less visible place.

Could the socket be recessed - a lot of brick bashing I know.

Purely for aesthetics. It's a top spec conversion of a ~100 year old barn to a domestic premisis.

AFAIK there will be a couple for portable tools for the grounds keepers, and a couple at high level for christmas decorations (fed via time switch and contactor)

If there is not a flush mount version available then I don't see any reason why I couldn't flush in the back box of a standard masterseal socket.

I can't see any reason either, however the MK masterseal socket will still need to protrude at least an inch to allow lid to open fully and clearance for release catch on bottom.

They are available in white if that improves the aesthetics.
