Good evening all,

My first post - I see some familiar names here, plumbing pages re-visited ?

Please could someone explain how - a central heating system is flushed ?

After carrying out any work using solder, flux etc.. the instructions say, system must be flush - how is this done correctly and is the boiler still in the loop ?

Many thanks - much appriciated.

See FAQ sticky topic for details of flushing using mains water.

If on a new system you have used a lot of flux you will need to chemically treat system with a pre commissioning cleanser like sentinel x300 or the flux will cause corrosion & gassing up

Please give me a better clue as to where the info is you are referring too Chris.

Speaking as a boiler manufacturer, I would expect anyone in Leeds or elsewhere for that matter to use X300 or similar system cleanser on all new systems regardless of how much flux you think has been used.
