Fly screen frame materials

I want to make my own lightweight Fly screen frames for the various windows and doors using UPVC or Aluminium.

All my windows open outwards and my French doors inwards.

The reason is due the wet weather recently, we are being plagued with mozzies and midges indoors and can't leave windows open for any daily fresh air in any of the rooms without being invaded.

Any clues where such materials could be found to make the frames.

Have seen some suppliers in the states, but are there any on this side of the pond.
