Off topic mate. We use gas to make fertiliser. I'm not talking to a plonker like you that thinks we use oil. Go to bed with Mrs Palmer.
 
Not really, food relies of fertilizer, you don't know what is the most important elements that contribute to that, nor do you know how its made, c'mon don't google ,it tell me, 'coz I know exactly how its made, what it requires essentially (doesn't require oil and gas is not an end component to give you a little clue).
 
It's nitrogen, the most abundant element in the air. Dunno how they turn it into fertiliser, but I never said I was a chemist.

There are 3 really important ones, yes nitrogen is a very major one, the other two?

Nitrogen is "fixed" by the Haber Bosch process (gas), (but is easily replaceable)
 
From memory I bought a bag of Ammonium nitrate years ago so I guess ammonia features somewhere.
