foot through ceiling!!! weird paint required...

Hi guys.

ok i did put my foot through the ceiling 1st time in 8 years so not doing too bad!

The hole is only 15"x15"

The ceiling looks like a sand compound in the paint quite fine. Is there such thing i can buy to match it up with the ceiling. fortunately this misshap happened in the corner of the room so not too bad...

How shall i go about sorting this problem out?

Plasterboard hole?
Plasterer to skim it?
decorator to apply this funny textured paint?

how would you guys go about it? if anyone lives in bucks and would like the job let me know!

First of all, do you really want that old textured finish?

May be an idea to re-skim the whole ceiling.

its rented accomodation. there not interested in skims or anything just a patch up.

its a big ceiling also... 7m x 8m

Sounds like Polytex from way back. I`d be tempted to fake it with some easy fill over the plasterboard then flick some fine dry sand @ it / mix some in with a bit of cheap emulsion.
