do i use crush and run before i put concrete down for footings. and if i have taken too much soil etc out can i put some back in or does it have to be made up with concrete. ps the footings are for a two storey extention

Just so you know.. It's not crush and run. It's crusher run 
Crush & run makes no sense. It's material straight off the crusher in the quarry, which makes a compactable product.
