for how long and to what pressure do people pressure test for? Is a poly plumb and copper system.

18bar for 1 hour with polyplumb if i remember correctly.

Hep is 10bar for 1 hour.

Would be prudent to do a pre-test test at 1 bar to deal with any weeps ect, if any.

18 bar sounds alot I have a few copper soldered fittings on the system.

Do you test to 18bar? I was just going to go to 10 bar 18 bar sound high. Don't want to damage the pipework

yes i have tested at 18 bar before, it all depends on the manufacturers stated procedure.

heres a hep test i done last week at 10bar which is their procedure

Thanks and 18bar is ok for the soldered copper fittings I have on the system?

yes it will be fine, i believe the pressure is so high on pushfit as to ensure the fittings are properly fitted.

And you will definitely know of any leaks at that pressure

thanks do you bother with any air removal when pumping up to pressure?

There should be no air whatsoever in the pipes during a pressure test

How do you get rid of all the air, without a valve on each pipe to purge it?
