Is that similar to what happens throughout the eu now ?
Ever tried to use an EHIC card in the US?

We treat the Yanks when they're here, they treat the Brits when in the US of A.
Only if you have private insurance over there, but the NHS will treat an emergency case here without question...

Are you really that thick!

NO stupid, they're only valid in the eu, America isn't in the eu.

No sh1t Sherlock. Yes, that is the case NOW, but what is being discussed is a trade deal with the US in which reciprocal medical care could be considered.
Dumb thick tw@t.

American healthcare system: the most expensive in the world.

In US if you are diabetic and cant afford the subs, too bad you die.....

The US healthcare system is an insurance based model, run by corporations that are driven to return shareholder profits, not to run a cost effective service for its patients.

as is health care in other countries

Are you that angry, filled with hate and possibly lack the comprehension to understand that a private system will cost you more and you will receive way less.

Thats a fact. You have been royally tricked.

Where did I or anyone say we were getting a private system ? The tweet in the first post seems to be referring to a deal between us and America whereby we get treated in America if we fall ill, and Americans get treated here if they fall ill, similar to the EHIC system in the eu.There is always the health tourist risk, but that has always been the case with many visitors from many countries.

And you can show us where this 'could be considered'?
Maybe you can tell us which countries already have a reciprocal healthcare agreement with the the USA so we could see what sort of agreement might be on the table?

The trade deal will however include the opening of the NHS to US private healthcare operators - this has been admitted.
The current slow privatisation of the NHS will grow faster, and costs will soar - thus in time requiring increasing private insurance 'top ups'...

But of course this doesn't bother you, or does it?

Well you might be the only one that sees that

Garbage of course is all for a private Health system, as are many leave tories...

But then quitters knew that, didn't they?

Where was this ? The tweet posted makes no reference to it , it just says he "thinks" healthcare will be part of a deal, what sort of deal, no one knows, as it hasn't happened, but I forgot, you can see into the future, so you know for sure.
