Ford focus- dead smell when reversing

Hi all,

We have noticed a bad smell when we reverse our ford focus (my hubby swears it's not him ) it kind of smells like something has died around the car.

Any ideas?

the cat by any chance,they sometimes smell of rotton eggs.

Probably Hydrogen Sulphide from the cat being blown out the tailpipe and because you're driving into it, you can smell it.

And they are not talking about one that goes "Meeeooow" when you reverse over it

Although this might sound abit strange, check the screenwash bottle, for some reason Focus's have a problem with this, the bottle may need flushing out, can create a smell like rotting eggs.

its not just the focus that could suffer from this its been known that the galaxy does too.

I can add transit to that list too.
I thought they we're stirring up the slurry pit in the farm I drove past, but turns out to be the washers!
Thought it might be the cheap halfrauds screen wash that has been in there a while?
