hi all,im having problems with my ford mondeo,my alarm went off today for no apparent reason,so i switched it off,about 10mins later i got into the car but it wouldnt start even though ignition lights are on ?

Is the red immobiliser light in the clock working? What is it doing? iirc it should come on for a few secs then turn off when you turn your key to ignition on. This is assuming of course that your car has an immobiliser fitted and chipped keys.

In other cars, if you store any metallic items close to the sensor, then the device will be activated.

So, if on your vehicle, the sensor is in the centre console, don't store spare change there, as that activates the alarm.
