No. Its just because they have big engines. Just like cat diggers.
Their cars are fantastic.
Their hardly gonna ship them out to poor countries that don't have much oil.

Caterpillar make great earth moving machines.

Have you tried parking either at Tesco?

Q. Have you ever wondered why European (read German) and Japanese cars are so popular in the States yet their sales in reverse look dire by comparison?

If they are so great why do they import getting on for 1 million German cars and build German cars in America.

the Yanks were responsible (60's ? 70s) for building some of the most powerful cars that were offered en-masse to the general public;)

whilst joe public in the Uk was trudeling around in there rover 100's , Austin cambridges , A40s and all there other boring shoite , the yanks were
driving GTO's , Mustangs, chargers, challengers , Road runners, GTX satelites, Firebirds, Stingrays ect ect

The Era of the muscle car , stonking great V8's . All went t&ts up by about 1976 ish , due to un-leadsed fuel, be** end enviromentalists , insurance companies ect ect. It has picked up in the early 90's and now due in part to GM's LS3 range of engines probably one of the most powerful mass produced engines on the market at an afordable price as well ;)

Yank V8's have powered plenty of British cars and still do. The Rover V8 was a yank design and powered countless vehicles

stuff yer vorsprung durch teknik ;)

...powerful ... GTO's , Mustangs, chargers, challengers , Road runners, GTX satelites, Firebirds, Stingrays ... muscle car , stonking great V8's... powerful....

Something appeals to you.

Compensating?

Yank cars are garbage compared to German and Japanese cars, that's why they fail to sell in large numbers abroad. Its the very same reason why cars foreign to the USA sell in huge numbers.

Wonderful nostalgia. Yank cars are mere novelty items. Their development of cars over the years lags way behind their overseas counterparts. Their cars are joke - low end tat.

1930's Buick iirc. The British V8 in the Stag was an embarrassment but Fords weren't too bad, I had a 2.8 or 3.0 V6 (or V8 can't remember) Granada and that were a fine beast.

small block chevy V8 is probably ? the most mass produced after market engine on the planet

millions have been sold and still in production

rootes used a Ford V8 in the sunbeam Tiger , rover V8's ( yank buick ) powered many cars Morgan , land rover , TVR , Marcos ect ect

compare the price of a new high performance merc or porsche engine to the price of a high performance yank engine ;)

Do the Yanks even do a high performance engine? Do they even make a high performance car?

Lol.
