Hi all.

I couldn't find I introduction page so I'll jump right in.

Bought a new house which is a 50's detached bungalow.

I was a little worried that the dormer side of the house had dropped at the floors. After doing some investigation into creaky floors im not so worried. At some point the dormer floor had been replaced with non tongue and groove chipboard.

I'm just not sure why they would of raised the floor slightly when they did it? Do you think I can just go back to hoist level.

Cheers Paul

you say floors but only show one floor corner?

the bits an pieces of chipboard are bad news - very bad diy practice.

you need to post more photos of the room or rooms an the exposed joist seatings in that corner.
an if they are outside walls then photo showin outside at ground level.
