I need to build some internal walls and in doing so form 2 100mm nibs to form a door opening.

The plan was to do it out of masonry but wonder if the nib on the left in brickwork would be un stable and better to do as option 2 in timber. What is the best option?

So how is it done? The reason for the post is for help not ridicule.

Another option would be to do it all in timber but prefer the idea of solid walls as it will be a high trafficked area if someone could explain how it's done.

Tooth in brickwork?

Not quite sure what why highly trafficked area has any bearing on what is proposed but stud walling would be my selection. A few pics of how I did my wc/closet. Basically 4 x 2's screwed to walls, ceiling, floor and infilled.

Nibs to support loads need to transfer those loads to the wall they are attached to, and starters are not for that purpose.

If you intend to use timber to act as a post, then that's for an engineer or suchlike to design

I forgot to mention. These are not load bearing walls. I am happy to construct from timber but would need to build up a wall from oversite to floor level to then build the timber from?
