Foundations for BBQ?

Hi,

I want to build a small brick BBQ in the back garden.

My questions is does it need to have foundations?

It will be built on top of block paving.

Any help much appreciated.

guess that depends on the foundations, if any, the block paving has.
 
I would say yes, you can build on top without prob's.

You may want to compact the existing sets prior to building though. Bash a piece of wood on them with a lump hammer.

Professionally speaking though it is a bit of a bodge particularly if you decide to lift the paving and wish the barbie to stay.
