free yahoo email notification software

hello everyone,
does anyone know of a free email notification software for my yahoo email. i am a bit fed up with check my emails all day.i googled it today and had one or two come up but not sure if they are any good.
i am hoping someone can suggest one that they have used before and are happy with.

in what way do you want to be notified?
You still have to check that.

What about using an RSS feed, can Yahoo mail do that?

like lotus notes, you get a graphic at the bottom of you page to tell you that you have new mail.in other words you dont have to keep refreshing your yahoo page to see if you have mail.
not sure about yahoo tool bar but will probably give it a try.
