To a DIY and home improvement forum? Non whatsoever but then again some of the answers you actually get to DIY questions arn't either and some contributors want to comment on any damn thing under the sun whether that be leccy and gas prices, covid, free mobiles, Shamima Begum, HMRC relocation, etc etc
I was specifically referring to your mention of a war that happened 75 years ago.

Just thank your lucky stars that the US and the Commonwealth came to UK's aid in WW11 otherwise we would all be speaking German by now

Small matter of Russia's involvement too - Stalingrad was probably the most important battle of the war, because it denied H of oil for his ailing war machine.

And thats why I said non whatsoever in answer to your question, so whats the relevance of your current statement?
No you did not.

your initial post was a direct response to the thread.

You then changed the context to say your post had nothing to do with DIY

Very dishonest.

But now that you've mentioned it, :)whistle: ) German plans for invading Britain was the wrong approach, they should have taken note of Napoleon's plan, and used Ireland as a springboard.
I'm just listening to a discussion about the eternal triangular problem between Ireland, Europe and UK. It deals mainly with the current Brexit issue, but it starts by looking at the historical development.

Jump to 23 minutes in for a discussion on the German potential alliance with Ireland.
Nothing new there
A segment of the Irish people have always been Anglophobic and have supported foriegners in their conflicts with England /UK.
If past results are anything to go by, Ireland has backed a loser once again.

But you asked how it was relevant and I replied it wasn't
Please dont lie, that was not your reply

this was:

the post thread is about this:

POST 1:
Rescuing migrants !!!!
Believe that you'll believe anything !!"

and your response:
"Just thank your lucky stars that the French weren't trying to stop an invasion in WW11 otherwise we would all be speaking German by now"

So please avoid feeble attempts at changing the context.....it makes you look dishonest, maybe you are

Ireland and Northern Ireland are doing rather well out of being in the single market

brexit voters have backed a loser though...fruit rotting in fields, empty supermarket shelves -only fools vote for that :ROFLMAO:

Dereekoo - Just thank your lucky stars that the French weren't trying to stop an invasion in WW11 otherwise we would all be speaking German by now

Notch - How is that relevant?

Dereekoo - To a DIY and home improvement forum? Non whatsoever

Pretty straight forward statement, question and answer, you don't have to be a Mr Spock to follow the audit trail :)
