As reported by CMU, a Whirlpool spokesperson revealed that cramming too many magnets onto the surface could place weight stress on the door hinges, possibly shortening the appliance's life.
Seems Whirlpool fridge doors don't have provision to put milk in the door, so must remember not to get Whirlpool fridge then.

XD XD XD
sounds like an excuse to pass blame for their poor quality craftsmanship when the door breaks.

A lot of fridges have metal running in plastic hinges that have problems with wearing out when the door has a bottle drawer built into the door. So I suppose in theory a lot of heavy fridge magnets stuck to the outside could hasten the wear.

Agree.

If the door isn't strong enough for magnets then I don't think the build quality generally would be for me, let alone no milk or juice storage in the door

I remember reading somewhere not to store milk in the door, as when you open it, things in the door warm up a lot more quickly than stuff inside the fridge itself.

With the sheer mass of the milk, I doubt that would really make much difference. We often have two 4 pinters, stored in the door, the store much more awkwardly, on a shelf.
