Looking to paint the front door this summer and doing Research Work to assess best approach from the experts.
We had a decorator doing the building and he use Betec Multi Surface paint on the existing paint of the front door, and I am unsure of the quality personally - open to any feedback thoughts. (doors have a couple of cracks (see pics), and I would like to make sure we keep the door well-maintained)
What we were thinking is slight sand (not going to remove the paint, but just to make sure that the next coat adheres properly.
and then prime it directly with two coats. (no need of an undercoat as no bare wood) unless we get to bare wood when sanding on some of the part of the door.)
Paint-wise, thinking of using oil-based gloss.

Would that be a good option?
Unless, we just use some of the Betec paint ?
I saw they do quick dry one water base - but I guess quality won't be as good.
Many thanks
PS - Would you stick to Classic White or should we consider a different colour to get the entrance door more fancy? I guess white would be the cheaper option, as any colour paint would be more expensive?
