Hi everyone, I had my loft boarded before the summer and noticed it got very hot up there but took no heed from it. Now winter has hit moisture is on the rear and side exposure. The only difference with the dry front exposure is the boards have a small gap before it hits the beams. I have ordered lap vents to increase air flow and tape to seal the hatch better. Would lifting the boards near the beams help or can I get away with drilling large holes in them. Only asking as I have a bad back and will struggle getting them out as the are wedged.

John down south, good evening.

Are there any eaves or soffit vents fitted?

Suggest you have a look under the heading of "Floors Stairs and Lofts on the board, there is a "Pinned post" all about Loft condensation.

Ken.
