Fuse Rating for Tumble Dryer?

Hi

Just had a thought - how would you find out what rated fuse I would need for my tumble dryer, assuming you did not have the plug anymore so couldn't check the old one (!)

Didn't know whether it would just entail a simple check on the back of the machine or not, as I'm at work at the moment.

look at the makers rating plate, or at the instruction manual.

If a domestic drier sold in the UK market the load will most likely be in the region of 2.5 to 3 kW, which is about 13A. The nearest fuse cartridge you will find in the High Street will be 13A. So everyone uses that.
