Fused spur in bathroom

Hi, can anyone tell me the maximum distance between a hand dryer and its isolator switch in a bathroom in order to keep the switch local. The hand dryer is in a pub and right beside a sink. The only option to move the switch is at a higher level. At present the switch is getting wet due to splashing from the sink and spray from wet hands at the dryer. Many thanks.

The only requirement for the isolation switch will probably be required by the manufacturer of the hand drier. They may stipulate a required distance. Do you have instructions or a make? Otherwise, I would use common sense and move it where you think will be best to eliminate the ingress of water.

You say pub bathroom. So I take there is a bath in the room. This will possibly have implications on the position of the switch.

if you move it somewhere that makes it not obvious to the drier you should really label what it is isolating on the fcu.
