Galaxy 2-12 - Horn / Speaker Volume

I've just changed an old Pyronix Paragon Plus out for a Galaxy 2-12 after 18 years faithful service, but the two 16 ohm speakers wired in parallel to give 8 ohm on the speaker output are really quiet despite option 51-10 being set to max at 31.

Does anyone know what impedance the Galaxy is designed to drive into? The Pyronix used to blast out of these two speaker alerting the user to unset, but I can sense user complaints that it won't be loud enough to alert the now!

I have the speakers wired to output 1002 and 0v and set to speaker rather than DC in 51-15.

Any help gratefully received.

You'll find that the second connection should be +12V and not ground. See the *NOTE on page 18 of the manual.

My Page 18 is about the RS485 wiring! What's the text consist of so I can 'search'?

Will try that tomorrow when I return to finish commissioning.

Sorry, it must be page 18 on the latest manual and 16 on the older revision.
