Hi all - I have just installed the above panel with the AO81 GPRS/GSM module. I can send text messages to the alarm to activate etc and it works, and it will respond with the alarm status.

However I can't get it to send a message when the alarm goes off.

I have followed the steps in p 147 of the manual [56.2] but I just can't get it to send anything.

Anyone able to offer any guidance here?

Thanks in advance

Tim

Have you set user notify 42.4
That's a possible problem why you are not getting text?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have checked this and I have a mobile number in the first entry. Interestingly in my system it was in menu 42.5 though.

Thanks

Just to follow up on this - I have now resolved following a call to Honeywell tech support. For some reason the panel wasn't picking up the SMS message Centre number from the SIM card. Once I had manually entered into the settings and reset everything it seems to be working.

Thanks to the guys who took time to reply.

I previously had the same problem and the solution is to manually enter the SMS message centre number. Like you I thought the panel shown retrieve the centre number automatically like any other GSM device. For reference here is the list of UK message centre numbers.
