Galaxy G2-20 Printing System & Diagnostic Information

On a Galaxy G2-20 under option 57 you can print system programming and diagnostic information to a serial printer from the program header. The installation guide states that you need a printer lead (part number A225) to do this. I have a few questions that I hope someone can help with. My questions are as follows:

a) has anyone printed successfully using this lead? If so, where can the lead be obtained?
b) modern printers tend to have USB connections. Is there any other way to print to a modern printer?
c) If I connect an ethernet module, can printing be done over the network instead?

Best to use the network connection and use Honeywell RSS to pull the diagnostics data

Thank you Galaxy Guy. Totally understand your point, I was just curious if anyone had actually used this A228 (correction) connection.
