Sorry for asking this one, but im trying to give someone a guesstimate price today (dont ask!)

Anybody got any idea for a rough price for galvanised sheet metal. Its being used to make a "stream" type water feature so im guessing a few mm thick at most.

any help much appreciated ;)

Don't use galv if there are any fish, some of the treatments used for sick fish can cause the texic metals to disolve in the water.

Also if any of the edges are going to be cut you will be better off with having it hot galv dipped after construction otherwise th eedges will rust.

A few ebay sellers do galv and stainless sheet. Enquire with them for some quotes.

How big of a bit(s) do you need??

Prices for a whole sheet (2mx1m) Bigger sheets are available though, 2.5x1.25mor 3x1.5m and add vat if you need too!

1.5mm galv £29
2.0mm galv £35
3.0mm galv £46

1.5mm stainless £95 (304 grade)
2.0mm stainless £120 "
3.0mm stainless £174 "

Suggestion - you could use a length of lead flashing. Lead comes certainly 2ft wide. Lower Code means thinner. Code 3 would be fairly easy to bend about.

Or make it up out of fibreglass. The posh ones are made of that, stained somehow.
