Galvanized water tank for a raised pond?

Hi all,

I have a large pond in the house we bought a few years ago and I love it to bits, problem is we have 14m old twin boys and aware this summer the pond needs to go. I was thinking about a raised pond, and further thinking about using a old galvanized water tank I found in the loft, any thoughts can I do this?

I was thinking I could further raise it on railway sleepers and put in a pump etc. Anyone tried this, is it possible, will the fish cope?

Any help would be appresiated.

How bigs this galvanized water tank ?
Thought you said a pond ?

It would be ok for a pond/ water feature. But is NOT suitable to keep fish in.
