Hi all,

I've fitted a new shower tray into a recess, however the walls are out of square and I have a 10mm gap at the widest point between the shower tray and the left-hand-side wall. What would be the best way to bring the wall out by about 5mm? Would 'skimming' with some tile adhesive be an option?

Thanks.

I'd personally just silicone it. If try is white and silicone is white you'll hardly notice.

Use a deeper notch trowel when combing the tile adhesive and don't squash these flat when placing the tiles.

Usually I balance the gap between each wall so you would end up with the gap the same each side and then the tiling would take that up without a problem. Just get the tiler to go a bit heavier with the adhesive at the bottom edges.

Eh? From what I read in the OP... The holes too baggy, not too tight!

Think they mean cut the corner into the wall to allow it to sit flush where there is a gap. As Madrab says, balance the gaps and you should be able to fill the gaps with tiles.
