I have recently taken away a cupboard in my kitchen and in doing this have been left with a gap where the old wall which is away now used to meet the permanent wall. Behind the plasterboard that is already up is the brick external wall. I now have a 3" gap in the plasterboard here and need to fill it. What is the best way to fit the filling peice of plasterboard to the brick so i nolonger have this 3" gap??

Thanks

Drywall adhesive but you will also need to tape the joints or any filler/skim will crack along the joint lines.

thanks, where will i get that from? and what am i loking for?

went to my local b&q and they didnt know what i was talking about.

That's the one  Set the board back 2-3mm to allow you to fill out & smooth over; probably best using Easyfill if you’ve not used finishing plaster before.

rich is absolutaly correct with the answer just make sure you get the powderd easy fill not the premixed, premixed will constantly shrink and powderd wnt  good luck pal
