Hi All,

If a door has a gap between the edge of the door and the jam (say between 4-10mm), what's the easiest way of reducing the gap?

I've got smoke strips to contend with too, just to make things more interesting.

Is it easier to remove the stops, and pack out the jambs to bring the frame in? Or put extra lipping on the frame / door to compensate?

I don't fancy the longevity of 2mm thick strips of wood stuck onto the frame being particularly good!

I would definitely pack the door frame legs. Just to clarify are they corrrect at the very top by any chance? ...pinenot :)

In some cases, why what are you getting at? Pack out the bottom hinge?

If they are correct at the top I would consider taking off the architraves and resetting the posts, rather than anything else...pinenot :)
