Hi,

I want to install an alarm on my garage. It has a personnel door on the back and a vehicular door on the front. Either are used for entry depending on who enters and what for.

I'm planning to put door contacts on both doors and supplement these with two PIRs. There will be one keypad. The alarm that I have is a Pyronix Euro Mini.

My question is, how do I configure the door contacts so that either can be used as an entry route, i.e. won't instantly trip the alarm? Can I set one both as final exits or do I need to be a bit cleverer?

Thanks in advance.

It is a fair point regarding entry points and detectors getting to the keypad.

Personally I would advise of limiting the entry points.

I have been to homes where there has been three entry points and you can effectively get round the house without activating the alarm.

alarm systems should be designed properly to be effective.
