Hi, I am building a timber frame single storey dwelling which has an integeral garage. I am trying to find out what the floor height of the garage should be compared to the finish floor level of the house. Obviously the garage entrance needs to be at ground height and the house floor 150mm above this but the timber frame panels all have 4 sides, but the garage door way does not need one where it is connected to the sole plate and will be the garage door section. Also do I cut this away to allow me to be able to get to the ground level? I will add that we will be using it for storage and want to have underfloor heating in there as well to stop things getting to damp or cold.
